Bookseller Children’s Conference

Author Steve Skidmore will be showcasing Sleepydog’s range of eBooks for the iPhone and iPod touch at this year’s Bookseller Children’s Annual Conference.

The event takes place on 1st October 2009 at London’s Commonwealth Club, and includes a top lineup of speakers from Waterstones, Scholastic, Penguin, Random House and Tesco.

Sleepydog’s television series, Slingers and Weird & Wonderful Hotels are set to feature at MIPCOM, the world’s biggest trade event in the entertainment industry.

MIPCOM is being held in Cannes and runs from October 5-9 2009. It’s here that broadcasters, distributors and production companies from all over the world, converge to buy and sell many of the shows we see on TV.

All The Rage

There’s an app for everything – or so Apple would have us believe – and from today you can experience your very own movie premier, as indie flick ‘Rage’ makes it’s debut on the iPhone and iPod touch.

Written and directed by British filmmaker Sally Potter, ‘Rage’ is an episodic story which takes a behind-the-scenes look at a New York fashion show.

The film has attracted a star-studded cast, with Dame Judi Dench, Jude Law, Steve Buscemi, Eddie Izzard and John Leguizamo all making appearances.

‘Rage’ will be released in seven episodes via the free Babelgum app, with episode one available from today.
